SSC CGL Syllabus 2024

SSC CGL Notification 2024 has been published by the SSC recently, providing 17,727 vacancies for various Group B and C posts. The SSC CGL Selection Process 2024 comprises two stages: Tier-1 and Tier-2. The Tier-1 exam is mandatory for all candidates. The Tier-2 exam, there are three papers: Paper 1 is compulsory for all posts, Paper 2 is for those applying for the Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) position in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, and Paper 3 is for candidates applying for Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer positions.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern for Tier 1

SSC CGL Exam 2024 for tier 1 is qualifying in nature. As per SSC CGL Syllabus 2024 for the Tier 1 Exam, there will be 4 sections having 25 questions each. The time assigned for completing the Tier-1 Exam is 60 minutes and there is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern for Tier 2

Tier 2 is considered the most crucial and challenging part of the exam. It plays an important role in determining whether candidates qualify for the next stage. Additionally, the scores obtained in this tier are used to rank candidates and assign posts accordingly.

  • Paper 1 includes three sections: Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning, General Intelligence, and General Awareness. It also features questions from the Computer Knowledge Test and includes a Data Entry Speed Test.
  • Paper 2 is dedicated to Statistics, comprising 100 questions worth a total of 200 marks, with a time limit of 2 hours.
  • Paper 3 focuses on General Studies (Finance and Economics), also containing 100 questions, totaling 200 marks, and has a duration of 2 hours.
